Care Guide

Seven Boot Lane is proud to use natural, honest materials.  Our boots are crafted and finished by hand, meaning each pair is unique and has a personality of its own.  Because our materials are natural, they are easy to maintain.  Our boots will age beautifully if well cared for.  

We recommend the following:

Leather: use a premium leather cream or polish to keep the leather looking rich and lustrous, and maintain its natural weather proofing.  Use clear or carefully colour-matched cream or polish.

Suede: all suede products should be treated with a suede protector spray to keep them stain-proof and weather-proof.  Whilst no spray gives a complete barrier, periodic application will significantly prolong the life of your boots.  If the nap becomes flat, brush up with a suede brush.  Many stains can also be removed with a brush.

Shopping

Do I need to create an account to be able to order?

No. You give us certain key information which we use to process and ship your order.  We don’t ask for any information we don’t need, and we don’t use your information for any other purpose without asking you. If you would like to create an account after you have purchased, you can provide us with a password and we will store your delivery information for next time.

How do I change my account details?

Log into your account and you can change your details.  Be sure to keep your details up to date.

I am unsure of what size to order, please can you advise?

I have received my item but am unsure of how to wear it, please can you advise?

Yes! Contact one of our style advisor team by emailing kate@sevenbootlane.com.  We would love to hear from you!

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Delta, Maestro) and Paypal.

What currencies do you accept?

We are able to accept credit card payments in any currency.

I have a promotional code, how do I use this?

Enter your code during checkout.

How do I cancel my order?

You can cancel or change any part of your order up to the point where your goods have been shipped.  Once you order has shipped we are unable to cancel it and you will need to follow the Returns procedure. 

Can you tell me if items will be restocked?

Yes.  If we are out of stock of an item simply send us an email at help@sevenbootlane.com and we will let you know if further stock is arriving. 

Delivery

How do I know if my order has shipped?

Your order will ship the day after it is placed on our site.  We will send you an email confirming that your order has shipped.  You will also be sent an SMS or email with a one-hour delivery slot, which you can change if you need to.

UK delivery information

Orders placed before 2pm will be shipped the following day.  Shipping takes 1 to 2 days.  We will send you an email confirming that your order has shipped.  You will also be sent an SMS or email from our shipping partner Interlink Express with a one-hour delivery slot, which you can change if you need to.

Please note that all parcels must be signed for.  We are unable to deliver parcels without a signature.

If delivery fails on more than two occasions there will be a £6 charge for re-delivery.

If a change of delivery address is required after your order has shipped there will be a £6 charge.

Can I track my order?

We are unable to offer order tracking, but you will receive an SMS or email with a time slot for delivery, so you will always know when your order is due.

International delivery information

International delivery times and prices vary according to where you live.  We offer delivery to Europe within 3 days for as little as £10. 

To return an item from outside the UK, please notify us using the ‘Returns’ link in your account, and send the item to the following address:

What if I have received an incorrect item in my order?

RETURNS

What is your return policy?

We will accept any unworn returns within 14 days of the order date.  To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in all the original packaging.  You will be offered an exchange or refund.

How do I return my item?

To return an item, simply log into your account and follow the ‘Returns’ link on the page to request an exchange or refund.  Then use the enclosed returns label to send your parcel from your nearest Post Office.  Please do not use the shoe box as the outer packaging.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. If your return is approved, then your exchange or refund will be processed.  For exchanges your replacement item will be sent the following day subject to availability; for refunds a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 3 days. 

Can I return Sale items?

We are unable to offer refunds on items that are reduced in price by 50% or more.  However we will be able to offer exchanges for the same product in a different size and/or colour, subject to availability.

My boots are faulty, what do I do?

Please send an email to our customer service team help@sevenbootlane.com.  We will respond to you by return.

I live outside the UK, how do I return my item?

To return an item from outside the UK, please notify us using the ‘Returns’ link in your account, and send the item to the following address:

What is a cookie?

Cookies were designed for websites to remember certain information about people who have visited them before, so that they can show more relevant content to individuals who are browsing.  They do not store personal information; just preferences such as currency options, and information you may wish to see later such as the saved contents of your basket.

What are the Seven Boot Lane cookies?

Here is a list of cookies that we use. We’ve listed them here so you that you can choose if you want to opt-out of cookies or not.  Note that our site contains links to, or embedded content from, other third party websites and we do not control cookies used by those sites.

  • _session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).
  • _shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits
  • _shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
  • cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.
  • _secure_session_id, unique token, sessional
  • storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.

Why does Seven Boot Lane use cookies?

So that we can provide you with the best possible shopping experience.   Our cookies don't store any personal account or payment information; they simply allow your browsing activity to be monitored so we can serve you better.

We also use cookies to manage our site.  Cookies help us to run analytical software to improve site performance. They show us areas of the site which may be under-performing, so we can make enhancements which improve your shopping experience.

What does Seven Boot Lane do with my private information?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. 

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

We don’t ask for any information we don’t need, and we don’t use your information for any other purpose without asking you.  With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

Security

How do I know my personal information and payment details are secure?

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online eCommerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. 

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
